SMSPort Oracle + SMTP version allows
sending and receiving SMS messages from and to an
Oracle Database table. The SMTP part allows for
rules to be created so whenever and incoming email
arrives to the application, it sends pre-defined
SMS message to one or more mobile phones defined
within the system database settings.
SMSPort is a stand-alone application, which connects
to specific Oracle database tables (Created automatically
by the provided Database Builder or manually within
Oracle server) and monitors these tables. Any record
inserted into the oracle table will be sent as SMS
to the specified mobile number. Any incoming SMS
will be saved directly into the oracle table in
your Oracle database.
The SMTP Server rules module included within this
applications allows the operator to specify an SMS
message to be sent to the specified mobile number
based on an incoming email arrived to the application.
The application has a built-in SMTP server, which
accepts normal standard Email from any email server.
The internal SMTP server engine filters all incoming
emails and decodes the FROM: part of the message
to initiate a trigger based on the operator rules.
You can specify unlimited number of rules to unlimited
number of mobiles with each mobile getting a different
message.
Note that the internal SMTP server does not route
messages to other SMTP server and does not save
email messages in email boxes. The operation of
the internal SMTP server is just to be able to trigger
incoming emails to notify mobiles with SMS messages.
